Privacy Policy

This page explains what information the site collects, what it does not collect, and how we protect children’s privacy.

Effective October 13, 2026

The short version

  • We do not ask for your name, email, age, or location. There are no accounts or sign-ups.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
  • Game scores and progress stay on your own device. They are never sent to us.
  • We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not show ads.

Information we collect

We do not ask visitors to give us personal information. The site has no forms, accounts, comments, or chat.

If you email us

If you send an email to jaxanpublishing@gmail.com, for example to ask about bulk orders, we receive your email address and anything you write. We use it only to reply and to fill your order, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

Basic web logs

Our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically keeps short-term technical logs when any page loads, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are used to keep the site secure and running. We do not use them to identify visitors.

The games and your device

The games save high scores, coins, settings, and progress using your browser’s local storage. That information stays on your phone, tablet, or computer. It is never sent to us or anyone else. You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

The games do not use cookies, ads, in-game purchases, or tracking.

Outside services

A few parts of the site load content from other companies, which may receive basic technical information like your IP address:

  • Google Fonts provides the site’s lettering.
  • jsDelivr provides code used by two of the 3D games.
  • YouTube plays the sing-along video. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and the video does not load until you press play.
  • Amazon handles book purchases on its own website.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

Children’s privacy

MAKIN’ IT HOME is written for young readers, so we take children’s privacy seriously and follow the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The site and games do not ask for it, and there is no way for kids to post or share it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child sent us personal information, such as by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools that follow you across websites. If YouTube is played, YouTube may set its own cookies as described in its policy.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share information only if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of the site and its visitors.

Keeping information safe

The site is served over a secure HTTPS connection. Because we collect very little, there is very little to protect, and we keep emails only as long as needed to reply or complete an order.

Your choices

You can ask us to see or delete any email you have sent us. Depending on where you live, such as California or another state with a privacy law, you may have additional rights. Email jaxanpublishing@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If we ever plan to collect personal information from children, we will update this policy first and get a parent’s permission as the law requires.
